Vince
Lightweight, privacy-first web analytics dashboard — single binary, no external deps
Overview
Vince is a privacy-respecting web analytics tool written in Go that ships as a single binary with no external database required. It provides real-time traffic dashboards, referrer tracking, UTM campaign support, and goal conversion funnels. Like Plausible, it is cookieless and GDPR-friendly by design. Because it embeds its own storage engine it can be run with a simple docker run or bare binary, making it one of the easiest self-hosted analytics options available.
Where it falls short of Google Analytics
- No heatmaps, session recordings, or user-level event streams
- Smaller destination ecosystem — no built-in integrations with ad platforms or CRMs
- Community is small; plugin/extension ecosystem is essentially nonexistent
- No multi-site team management or SSO in the self-hosted build
We list the gaps honestly so you can decide if the trade-off is worth owning your data.
