RSS-Bridge
Generate RSS and Atom feeds for sites that don't provide them
Overview
RSS-Bridge is a PHP application that creates RSS and Atom feeds for websites that lack native feed support, including many social networks and news aggregators. It provides a large library of community-maintained bridges for sites like Twitter, Reddit, and YouTube. Self-hosting is possible via PHP or Docker, and the project requires no database.
Where it falls short of Feedly
- Generates feeds only; no reading interface, saved articles, or annotations
- Bridges break frequently when upstream sites change their HTML structure
- No authentication layer by default — publicly exposed instances are open to abuse
- No mobile apps or browser extensions for capturing pages
We list the gaps honestly so you can decide if the trade-off is worth owning your data.
