Generate RSS and Atom feeds for sites that don't provide them

9k PHP Unlicense 13 days ago

Overview

RSS-Bridge is a PHP application that creates RSS and Atom feeds for websites that lack native feed support, including many social networks and news aggregators. It provides a large library of community-maintained bridges for sites like Twitter, Reddit, and YouTube. Self-hosting is possible via PHP or Docker, and the project requires no database.

Where it falls short of Feedly

  • Generates feeds only; no reading interface, saved articles, or annotations
  • Bridges break frequently when upstream sites change their HTML structure
  • No authentication layer by default — publicly exposed instances are open to abuse
  • No mobile apps or browser extensions for capturing pages

We list the gaps honestly so you can decide if the trade-off is worth owning your data.
