Nullboard
Single-page minimalist kanban board — compact, readable, and fast
Overview
Nullboard is a minimalist single-page kanban board that runs entirely in the browser with no server required. All data is stored in localStorage, making it instantly usable with zero setup. The UI is intentionally dense and compact to keep as many cards visible as possible. An optional Node.js backup agent can periodically export boards to disk.
Where it falls short of Trello
- No multi-user support; data lives in a single browser's localStorage
- No attachments, comments, due dates, or rich task metadata
- No server-side persistence by default — data is lost if localStorage is cleared
- No integrations with issue trackers, calendars, or external services
We list the gaps honestly so you can decide if the trade-off is worth owning your data.
