Nextcloud Calendar
Full-featured CalDAV calendar server built into Nextcloud with sharing and scheduling
Overview
Nextcloud Calendar is a CalDAV-based scheduling application that runs as a Nextcloud app, providing event creation, invitations, resource booking, and free/busy lookups. It supports iCal feeds, attendee management, and integrates tightly with Nextcloud Contacts for people-aware scheduling. A solid self-hosted replacement for Google Calendar with familiar UX.
Where it falls short of Calendly
- No native public booking-page flow (requires a third-party plugin)
- Video conferencing integration is limited compared to Calendly
- Mobile app experience is less polished than hosted alternatives
We list the gaps honestly so you can decide if the trade-off is worth owning your data.
