Overview
Libredesk is a modern customer support platform that unifies live chat, email, and other channels into a single agent interface. It ships as a single Go binary, making deployment straightforward with minimal external dependencies. The tool supports team inboxes, conversation assignments, canned responses, and a customer-facing chat widget. Docker images are provided for containerised deployments.
Where it falls short of Intercom
- No built-in knowledge base or help-centre article editor
- AI copilot features (suggested replies, sentiment analysis) are not yet present
- Phone/voice channel support is absent
- Advanced SLA policies and escalation rules are limited
We list the gaps honestly so you can decide if the trade-off is worth owning your data.
