Beszel
Lightweight server monitoring hub with SSH-based agents and beautiful UI
Overview
Beszel is a minimal self-hosted server monitoring solution that uses SSH tunnels instead of open ports, making it firewall-friendly and simple to deploy on homelabs and VPS fleets. The hub collects CPU, memory, disk, and network metrics from lightweight Go agents and displays them in a clean real-time web interface with alerting support.
Where it falls short of UptimeRobot
- No network device or SNMP monitoring
- Alerting options are basic compared to Zabbix or Checkmk
- No long-term data retention tuning or downsampling for historical data
We list the gaps honestly so you can decide if the trade-off is worth owning your data.
