ZaneOps

Fast self-hosted PaaS for apps, databases, and static sites

1.3k Python Apache-2.0 2 days ago

Overview

ZaneOps is an open-source, self-hosted PaaS focused on a clean, fast experience for deploying web apps, databases, and static websites. Built on Docker Swarm and Caddy, it offers zero-downtime deploys, automatic HTTPS, environments, and a polished UI as an alternative to Heroku and Render.

Where it falls short of Heroku

  • Younger project with a smaller community and less battle-testing than mature PaaS tools.
  • Feature set is still expanding; fewer one-click templates and integrations.
  • No managed hosting or global edge network.
  • Built on Docker Swarm, limiting very large-scale orchestration.

We list the gaps honestly so you can decide if the trade-off is worth owning your data.
