Overview
piku is a minimalist Heroku-like PaaS designed to run on single-board computers like Raspberry Pi or small VPS instances. A single Python script manages git-based deployments, process supervision via uWSGI, and nginx routing with zero containers needed. It is ideal for hobbyists and small teams who want simple git-push deployments without container overhead.
Where it falls short of Heroku
- No Docker support — apps must run as native processes
- No built-in secrets management or environment vault
- No web UI; all management is via SSH and CLI
We list the gaps honestly so you can decide if the trade-off is worth owning your data.
