Immich Kiosk
Lightweight Immich-powered photo slideshow for kiosk displays and browsers
Overview
Immich Kiosk is a lightweight slideshow add-on that uses an existing Immich instance as its photo data source, making it easy to turn any screen or browser into a digital photo frame. It ships as a single Docker container and is configured through environment variables or a simple YAML file. Display options include random albums, people, memories, and custom filters.
Where it falls short of Google Photos
- Requires a running Immich server — not a standalone photo solution
- No built-in photo management, editing, or upload capabilities
- Slideshow customisation is limited to what Immich exposes via its API
- No offline mode; depends entirely on network access to the Immich backend
We list the gaps honestly so you can decide if the trade-off is worth owning your data.
